Program in Public Management
The virtuous process of private administration has not always been accompanied by improved efficiency of public management. Important measures were taken by the government to modernize public administration, such as the privatization of companies, legislation on fiscal responsibility, the creation of supervisory agencies, the various laws on public services, control over public procurement, among others. Nevertheless, despite the advances made, society increasingly demands more quality in the exercise of state functions.
In municipal administrations, particularly, the local population demands the improvement of public service, faster at the municipal office, greater efficiency of the state machine. The citizen-taxpayer, increasingly aware of his rights and duties, realizes that not only, and not always, resources are lacking for public services to function better; he realizes that there is a lack of organization and method, processes, discipline and competence, command and decision skills, participation and transparency, essential themes of modern administration.
The task of preparing competent administration staff, capable of solving the simple problems of everyday life and also able to think strategically and have a vision of a better future. Brazil needs to go through a real managerial revolution in the public sector.
The target audience of this program online (EAD) are professionals, belonging or not to the public sector, interested in updating their knowledge or in performing management and advisory functions in municipal, state and federal governments. The content of the courses aims to train effective executives for the public sector, complemented with a solid humanistic and social training. The program focuses on four segments:
